Hong Kong!

Man this city is crazy!  I spent pretty much the whole of the first day gawking around.  In the evening we were able to meet up with PC and May and check out the night life in this City. Bumped into a whole load of people, went to a whole load of places- loads of fun, the main thing was seeing my friends... Got the know Mays bathroom really well... maybe needed a little more rest before all that... Sorry may!!! still, saturday morning and its all good...

Last day in singapore...

Boohoo…  This trip back to Singapore has been really great.  Apart from all the food and festivities, catching up with family and friends has been the beat thing by far! Big shout out to Lester and Mel for finding time to hang out. Karaoke was especially fun (Me and lester still got the moves) See you guys later in the year for the big day!!

Man the last 11 days have gone quick, but I am really looking forward to checking out HK.  Jools has been making plans so I am expecting a packed 8 days... woohoo!

It rocks to be Un-Married at Chinese New Year!!

Just came back from a family reunion dinner on my Mum's side.  It’s amazing how quick my Nephews have grown, but then it has been 4 years.  Really enjoying my stay in Singapore, the only thing that is getting to me is the constant elevator music EVERWHERE. Its like I am walking around in a Japanese computer game. Still, the food and red packets more then make up for it.

Woohoo!

SINGAPORE!

Time: 04:40

Location: Singapore, Sitting room

Activity: Listening to the Arsenal beating Bolton (at the moment), feeling a bit dazed…

Touched down after a rather pleasant flight.  Had a pretty good steak for dinner (steak in economy! Things have changed a lot from the boil chicken or “seafood” choice that I remember).  Watched two movies: The prestige (pretty good), The departed (Very Good- better then the original dare I say?)  Even the twin babes 4 srows a head of me were pretty chilled out.

Got out of luggage an hour early and Mum and Dad took me straight to a buffet for supper:  sushi to oysters, to roast beef, to fried noodles, back to oysters, to chill crab, back to roast beef, to ribs and finish off with cakes/ mango pudding/ melon…  this is going to be a good holiday J

Looking forward to seeing Mr and Mrs Chan, apparently there are a few good pubs around here.

Will update soon

COME ON YOU GUNNERS!

Sooooooo. Yes, I am still here! Happy New Year to you all!!!  Hope you all been doing so good eatin.  er, don’t really know where to begin with everything. Hmm, last entry was august 2005. Ok, so I will give you something cool that happened in each month….

Sept – handed in that long ass thesis that I was constantly moaning about (got a distinction for it in the end… the only one I have ever got in my life for anything)

Oct- graduated (stupid pics, and total waste of time as they were identically to the ones I took for my degree… Mum and dad very happy, which was the main thing)

Nov- had a really nice pizza one of those weekends…. Mmmmmm pizzzzzza

Dec- was asked to present my thesis in a conference in Milan, that was pretty fun. Bit scary as all the other people there were post PhD, but no one was doing my area of research so I just went for pretty pictures and long winded coding… your basic “shock ‘n’ awe” routine. Spent a lot of the time drinking and eating great food and cool bars. Also spent the last whole day finding a bag for Jools. Look a total prat holding they up and checking them out in the mirror.  Also Enq and I went to visit Sarah in Cornwall, totally wonderful time… the drive home (9 hrs) sucked a bit.

Jan – New Year at the Fung’s was super. Sung the night away and had lovely roast pot and chicken.  Also got re-acquainted with the cats (such totally sluts).

Ok, so now we are in feb. I guess the main thing (and the greatest answer to prayer) is that I was offered a job on Friday! Its with this consultancy company called Intelligent Space. They deal with urban/ architectural space analysis. My tutor put me forward as a good candidate for an internship program there to one of the partners at the isp cause they are looking to expand and are interested in what the MSC course I did was doing. I started the internship was Tuesday. Friday afternoon I got called into Jake (my boss) office and he offered me a contract! So I start on Monday. Everyone there is really cool, and the work is really interesting. Plus it is less then half an hour for my home. Thank God for his continual provision and great mercy to me.  Please pray for me that I make the most of this opportunity.

Of course, the news of Grace and Jon setting a date (though don’t actually know the date myself) was super news!!!  Wow, things have move on so much in the last 3 years…

Ok. Time to sleep… up at 7 ( arrgggghhh) tomoz… and for the rest of my life. Hmm, maybe work isn’t so great.

Peace

T
